Photograph more than the damaged part
Door problems are often connected. A slab that has shifted may rub, fail to latch and compress the weatherstripping unevenly. Replacing one visible part without reviewing alignment may not correct the underlying condition.
Send a full view of the closed door from inside, a photo from outside and close views of the frame, threshold and affected hardware. For a sliding patio door, include the track, rollers or lower edge where visible, lock area and screen if it is part of the request.
Weatherstripping replacement can be requested directly. Other door repairs are generally reviewed before an appointment is confirmed.
