Planning window and door work across multiple Calgary locations

Multi-site work becomes manageable when every address, unit and opening can be traced from the first request through measurement, scheduling, installation and closeout.

Create one project structure before field work begins

Use a master project name and a separate record for every service address. Each opening should have a consistent identifier such as building, unit, room, elevation and opening number.

For partner work orders, include the business name, job-site address, scope of work and work-order number. Purchase-order or OP information should be included only when the partner requires it.

Standardize the opening schedule

A reliable schedule records product type, operating style, dimensions, glass, colour, handing or swing, hardware and finishing requirements. The same identifiers should appear on measurements, estimates, product labels and completion records.

  • Building and unit reference
  • Room or elevation
  • Opening number
  • Existing condition and requested result
  • Product and glass specifications
  • Access notes and resident contact rules

Plan access as carefully as installation

Condominiums and managed properties may require resident notices, keys, elevator bookings, parking arrangements and approved working hours. Missed access can disrupt a full production sequence.

Group appointments geographically and confirm which units are occupied. Identify pets, furniture, security requirements and areas that need protection before the crew arrives.

Separate assessment, repair and replacement

Not every damaged opening requires the same response. Insulating glass units, screens, hardware, weatherstripping and some window or door components may be repairable. Other conditions may require sash, slab or complete product replacement.

Photographs support the first review, but compatibility, measurements and surrounding conditions must be confirmed before parts or replacement products are ordered.

Use phased approvals and closeout

A pilot group can confirm the documentation, product selection and installation standard before the full project proceeds. For larger scopes, track each opening as measured, approved, ordered, delivered, scheduled, completed or requiring follow-up.

Closeout should distinguish product damage, missing components, pre-existing conditions, access failures and workmanship items so each issue reaches the responsible party.

Choose support that can scale with the scope

Pitbull works on individual homes, multiple service addresses and multi-unit projects. Services can include measurement, product supply, installation-only work, repairs, hail-related restoration and overflow capacity.

Project location, quantities, access, products and timing determine the practical plan. Larger projects elsewhere in Canada may be reviewed individually.

Pitbull’s trade-partner service area
